Zynx Health Announces Expanded Relationship with Cerner to Improve Clinical Performance
Zynx Knowledge Analyzer designed to help Cerner Millennium clients validate clinical content and reduce variation in patient care
LOS ANGELES, Cali., Feb. 16, 2017 – Zynx Health™, a market leader in providing evidence- and experience-based clinical improvement solutions, today announced an expanded relationship with Cerner to help clients optimize order sets with the latest medical research and clinical standards. Under the agreement, Cerner will have the ability to offer Knowledge Analyzer™ as part of its suite of solutions.
Knowledge Analyzer, a content optimization solution, is designed to evaluate and enhance clinical content and processes, reduce variations and improve outcomes. It aligns organizations across desired clinical and financial goals by validating clinical decision support against current medical evidence, guidelines and performance measures.
“Knowledge Analyzer quickly scans through the order set and identifies components that coincide with evidence-based orders,” says Dustin Glasscock, RN, BC, clinical informatics specialist at Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama. “It displays a visual progression bar to note how many of the orders matched to existing evidence and how many need further review. It recommends additional orders or research evidence links that can be seamlessly added to the plan. Comments can be added directly onto the order set during the review process to facilitate communication throughout the maintenance process.”
Glasscock continues, “Overall, we have found it to be an easier tool to maintain order sets within our Cerner electronic health record (EHR), as previous tools were more focused on creating order sets. Likewise, it makes examining and updating evidence-based links in the plans a simple process.”
Knowledge Analyzer can help Cerner clients ensure their care guidance meets the latest care standards in the Cerner Millennium[sup]®[/sup] EHR, which can help hospitals and healthcare organizations reduce variation and improve clinical performance.
“Cerner and Zynx Health have an aligned vision to drive value across the healthcare industry and this expanded relationship signals our continued commitment,” said Kevin J. Daly, President of Zynx Health. “We look forward to working toward new joint opportunities with Cerner that contribute to the overall success of our shared clients.”
