A day in the life of a Project Manager HIE
The KONZA Project Manager plays an important role in the success of KONZA and its partners. KONZA is a fast-paced, energetic environment. The Project Manager position is on the cutting edge of implementation of the health information exchange in Kansas and across the nation. The Project Manager determines relevant tasks, dependencies, and resources for assigned projects; works with hospitals, eligible providers’ offices, and other organizations to share healthcare data; helps assemble tasks into project plans that assign objectives, timelines, and responsible parties; oversees the technology installation process and assures necessary training and supports are available and covers all aspects of project planning and execution.
Essential Functions of the Project Manager HIE

The Project Manager adds value in the following ways:
· Engages with healthcare facility clients, EMR project resources, and vendors by email and webinar.
· Schedules and facilitates internal and external project meetings documents, communicates, and properly stores notes and issues
· Ensures meetings are properly prepared for and documented
· Ensures results of meetings are communicated; issues are identified, addressed and/or escalated as appropriate
· Maintains detailed and up-to-date project plans
· Completes and documents project tasks, milestones, and issues in Salesforce.
· Identifies, tracks, and mitigates project risks
· Defines and helps to secure all resources needed to deliver integration projects on time, on scope, and within budget.
· Submits and monitors support tickets.
· Evaluates HIE data for completeness and compliance with specifications.
· Ensures testing issues are assigned, tracked, and completed on time
· Communicates with participants on upcoming changes to data, upgrades, downtimes, etc.
· Responds quickly to client and vendor integration and data quality questions.
· Works with colleagues and peers to ensure that the best work products are being created, maintained, and leveraged
· Provides regular progress updates and feedback to KONZA Leadership

Project Manager HIE Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skill, and Ability)
· Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Information Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
· Required: Bi-lingual Spanish
· Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within the first year
· Required: Experience in a technical/customer service/health care environment
· Required: Experience (3-5 years) in a project management role in a complex business and systems environments in the healthcare arena
· Required: Experience (3-5 years) in healthcare interoperability
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong business analysis, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer management, and project management skills
· MS Project or equivalent project management software experience
· Ability to learn how information systems are used in healthcare
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced culture
· Ability to multi-task and handle multiple parallel projects
· Ability to work well with others (team player)
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary is based on education, experience, and language fluency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
