A day in the life of a Data Quality Specialist
The Data Quality Specialist position is on the cutting edge of data quality analysis and improvement through multiple technology models. The Data Quality Specialist will play an integral role in our Data Aggregation Validation process, collecting, analyzing, and validating data sets. This role coordinates with team members to troubleshoot data discrepancies and facilitate data quality improvement. Completing audits and utilizing expertise with medical code sets to aid in data quality and product development to ensure the highest accuracy of data output will be key components of the Data Quality Specialist’s focus.

General Responsibilities:
· Work with the Director of Clinical Quality Services to manage the Data Aggregation Validation (DAV) program
· Validate clinical, coding, and technical data through multiple data transfer processes
· Analyze data for DAV submission, ensuring the accuracy of validation data elements
· Track all submission cases through the Primary Source Verification process
· Assists in all elements of Primary Source Verification
· Completes ongoing data improvement through internal Primary Source Verification
· Completes clinical quality reviews of ancillary products
· Ensures the most current and appropriate code sets are being utilized for ancillary products
· Collaborates with appropriate KONZA team and vendors members to improve data quality overall
· Security: Team Member access to protected health information requires team members to meet the highest standards of security

Data Quality Specialist Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skill, and Ability)
· Preferred degree in Nursing or Health Information Management
· Medical coding experience preferred
· HEDIS Audit or PSV experience preferred
· Strong knowledge of ICD, LOINC, SNOMED, and CPT code sets
· Strong information technology skills across multiple platforms
· Clinical Audit and supportive documentation experience
· Demonstrates advanced/proficient skills to plan, manage, problem solve, and mitigate risk in the deployment of applications and work processes
· Ability to work independently with little direction
· Able to prioritize work according to deadlines and organizational initiatives to produce assigned outcomes
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
· Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and clearly articulate business needs to internal partners and external vendors
· Strong knowledge of Healthcare EMR, Laboratory, Radiology, Ambulatory, Hospital, and Revenue Cycle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
