Media Relations & Corporate Communications Manager - OptimizeRx
Job Description Summary
The Media Relations and Corporate Communications Manager is a champion of the corporate voice and has a hand in shaping and executing against all public and investor relations and marketing material. In close collaboration with the extended marketing team, this position facilitates consistent messaging across channels and core audiences. Its core function is to drive and amplify top-of-funnel marketing activity through industry trade partnerships, earned media, and strategic paid media placements.
·       Collaborate with SVP and Director of Marketing to develop and execute quarterly media plans which support the company's editorial calendar and marketing plan
·       Identify opportunities and establish relationships with paid media partners, including:
o   Contracting for space
o   Coordination of content execution and deployment
o   Editorial calendar alignment
·       Identify, initiate, and maintain corporate partnerships with industry trade groups and publications
·       Coordinate and facilitate public and investor relations (PR/IR) agency interaction and deliverables to ensure consistency of messaging and stakeholder consensus across PR, IR, and marketing content
·       Maintain and engage company thought leader bench and deliver earned media opportunities for the bench, including but not limited to:
o   Write and ghost-write corporate blogs and byline articles to pitch to media publications
o   Facilitate webinar placement and speaking engagements for thought leader bench aligned to media and corporate editorial calendars
·       Identify, develop, and pitch corporate story-lines to industry and mainstream press, depending on need and goal of awareness by audience
·       Write and submit corporate award entries
·       Write and maintain executive talking points
·       Demonstrate positive ROI as it pertains to market reach, media attention, and sales pull-through from media opportunities
·       Prep subject-matter-experts on interaction with media and at events with appropriate talking points and angles that align with corporate branding, business and specific audience messaging goals
Preferred Requirements
·       Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in marketing, or related
·       Experience in healthcare public relations mandatory
·       Experience in publicly-traded company preferred
·       Strong written and verbal communication skills
·       Experience and fundamental understanding of audience segmentation and goals of media outreach assignments
