Community Care Plan
A 36-year veteran in the healthcare industry, Dr. Venereo has held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Community Care Plan since 2014. Prior to joining CCP, he practiced OB/GYN for over 15 years in Broward County. After retiring from active clinical practice, Dr. Venereo served as Medical Director for Medicaid and Medicare Health Plans, as well as Physician Liaison and Director Medical Affairs for two of the largest hospital systems in South Florida.

Community Care Plan (CCP), known as the health plan with a heart, was established in 2000 as South Florida Community Care Network and is owned by two of the largest safety-net hospitals in Florida, Broward Health (North Broward Hospital District) and Memorial Healthcare System (South Broward Hospital District). CCP was the first and remains the longest-standing Provider Service Network (PSN) in the state. CCP has also achieved the highest quality scores in Florida for four consecutive years and is the only Florida Medicaid plan to achieve five stars in pregnancy care for four consecutive years based on Medicaid Health Plan Report Cards.
