“We are pleased to welcome both Monica Gupta and Alyssa Rapp to the HDM Board,” said Tyler Smith, HDM partner. “Both leaders bring amazing healthcare and strategic experience to our board and company. Alyssa’s entrepreneurial success as a founder of Bottlenotes and CEO at Surgical Solutions, paired with Monica’s public company achievement at DocuSign and prior executive roles in provider organizations like Stanford Health, will bring HDM’s leadership to the next level as we grow our business and pursue our mission to improve patients’ lives.”

Ms. Gupta has served as Vice President, Global Operations, at DocuSign, a leading e-signature and agreement cloud company, since 2018. Prior to that, Ms. Gupta served as the Associate Chief Information Officer of Stanford Health Care from 2011 through 2017, an internationally recognized academic health system for providing leading-edge acute and specialty care. Before joining Stanford, she held numerous positions at Oracle Corporations (formerly Sun Microsystems), a multinational computer technology corporation, from 1997 through 2009. She has previously served on the Executive Advisory Boards of Intel Corporation and Imprivata. Ms. Gupta received her Bachelor of Arts with honors in Economics and Psychology from Punjab University and Master of Business Administration from California State University. She brings a track record of over two decades of growth, execution, and driving digital transformation at scale.

“The HDM team is immensely talented,” said Gupta, “and I look forward to supporting the company as they steadily expand their operations in solving the complex challenges in implementations and interoperability of healthcare data and technology.”

Ms. Rapp served as a managing partner at AJR Ventures, a strategic advisory firm for Fortune 500, $500MM+ privately-held companies, and private equity firms on their new business unit/new market development, digital, and e-commerce strategies from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, Ms. Rapp served as the founder and chief executive officer of Bottlenotes, Inc., the leading interactive media company in the U.S. wine, craft beer, and artisanal spirit industries from 2005 to 2015. Ms. Rapp has been the CEO of Surgical Solutions, a company that offers handling of scopes, repair maintenance management, and access to capital to increase physician satisfaction, since 2018. Ms. Rapp was appointed to serve on the Illinois Housing Development Authority board of directors from 2015 to 2019. Ms. Rapp received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History of Art from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

“I am inspired by HDM’s vision of moving healthcare forward with better data and tools that empower patients and providers,” said Rapp, “so I am delighted to support their short and long term value creation drivers in service to their mission of unleashing the potential of healthcare data and technology.”

HDM’s board expansion beyond the founding members, Brian Battistone, Greg Georgatos, and Tyler Smith, marks a significant milestone in the firm’s evolution. Following another year of continuous growth and accolades, including #475 on the Inc. 500, a KLAS rating, and Consulting Magazine’s Best Places to Work recognition, HDM’s expanded board lays the foundation for the next phase of corporate maturity. By bringing increased oversight to the company and ensuring enhanced strategic decision-making, HDM strives to continue to embody industry best practices and prepare the company for accelerated growth.
