King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center Goes Live With GetWellNetwork for Interactive Patient Care
Renowned tertiary referral center becomes first in Middle East to leverage GetWellNetwork for patient and family engagement in the hospital.
BETHESDA, Md., Apr. 20, 2017 – GetWellNetwork[sup]®[/sup], Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, successfully completed IPC implementation at its new King Abdullah Centre for Oncology & Liver Diseases – a 300-bed, state-of-the-art specialty hospital designed to care for patients with complex cancer and liver disease from all over the world.
The King Abdullah Centre for Oncology & Liver Diseases provides a highly innovative and specialized care environment with the latest advances in patient care technology. KFSH&RC is the first in the region to implement IPC with GetWellNetwork as a centerpiece to care delivery.

KFSH&RC is leveraging multiple IPC Pathways and numerous HIT interfaces, including education orders and results, medication teaching, pain reassessment, meal ordering, staff identification through RTLS and staff notifications. KFSH&RC designed the Pathways to meet the special needs and cultural nuances of the hospital. In addition, content on the GetWellNetwork system is fully translated into Arabic, and patients are able to navigate with a unique wireless keyboard that has both English and Arabic keys.
