About Medicomp Systems
Since 1978, when Medicomp’s founderPeter Goltra set out to improve physicians’ access to relevant patient information and enable sharing of that information throughout the medical system, Medicomp has remained focused on the simple principle that information technology can be used to save lives and give caregivers what they need to care for the patient. The solution to this challenge was the development of a powerful knowledge engine, which is now in use in leading EHRs around the world. Collaboration and work with physicians on staff at Cornell, Harvard and Johns Hopkins, along with other major medical centers, including the Department of Defense Military Health System, enables the Medicomp team to continuously expand the knowledge engine and to innovate new technologies that improve EHR systems and make them easy for clinicians to use.
