CMS recently finalized its Interoperability and Patient Access rule, which includes an e-notifications Condition of Participation that requires hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, and psychiatric hospitals to send real-time ADT notifications to patients’ established PCP, primary care practice groups, and post-acute providers.
