Earlier this month, CMS and OHM proposed complementary new rules to promote open patient access and the technology structures to facilitate it. This reflects another step in the industry's march toward consumerism. We take a look at the rules, their impacts and describe health systems that are emulating the proposed new standards today to achieve outsized outcomes.
