As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be not just a tester, but a developer who designs and automates creative ways to break software to identify potential problems. You will have the opportunity to own the testing process and should have a passion for automating repetitive tasks, getting deep into source code and systems to identify issues, and advocating for high engineering standards.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Own quality assurance, quality engineering and automated testing for our solutions.

  • Create and carry out test strategies and plans, select automation test tools, develop automated test scripts, and support automation test runs and CI platforms.

  • Conduct quality audits, publish functional and performance test results, and provide meaningful and actionable feedback.

  • Troubleshoot issues identified by internal team members and end users.

  • Ensure that new products and enhancements to existing products are rigorously tested pre- and post-launch.

  • Work closely with development and product teams to determine manual and automated testing approach and strategy.

  • Support continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows (review automation testing results, triage test failures, communicate feedback to teams).

  • Be a part of the team that is responsible for and supports automated deployments.

  • Identify and analyze opportunities to improve products.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable discipline, advanced degree is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of experience working in quality assurance, engineering and control, specifically with SaaS.

  • Experience developing test strategies and plans for both front-end and back-end applications.

  • Experience in selecting and implementing testing methodologies, automation test tools and performance test tools.

  • Familiarity with the entire SDLC, Agile (Scrum), risk management and project management.

  • Experience creating, implementing and running automated functional and performance tests.

  • Knowledge of Python or another high-level language.

  • Basic familiarity with UNIX/Linux.

  • Experience with AWS is a big plus.

  • Familiarity with general CI/CD principles and CI systems (Jenkins).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

  • Ability to work within an early-stage, high-growth environment.

  • Comfortable functioning independently while identifying, investigating, and developing solutions to complex problems.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
