Bernoulli Completes Testing at IHE Connectathon (NA) 2016

Company joins 142 organizations to test interoperability standards

Milford, CT—Feb. 9, 2016—Bernoulli, a leader in real-time connected healthcare, recently participated in IHE North American Connectathon Week 2016, January 25-29, at the co-located facilities of the Cleveland Convention Center, the Global Center for Health Innovation, and the HIMSS Innovation Center. Bernoulli has been involved with testing protocols across medical platforms at the Connectathon for the past three years.

Sponsored by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), a not for profit that promotes the adoption and use of standards interoperability, the Connectathon is a week-long event that was attended this year by more than 142 organizations and 600 health IT professionals who tested a vast array of technology solutions from across the health IT arena.

The focus of Bernoulli’s testing efforts was its Bernoulli enterprise platform (Bernoulli One™). Bernoulli performed test cases in seven protocols with 21 partners, including medical device, EMR and gateway vendors. Bernoulli One™ is the market’s only real-time, end-to-end, connected healthcare platform that combines comprehensive and vendor-agnostic medical device integration with powerful middleware, clinical surveillance, telemedicine/virtual ICU, advanced alarm management, predictive analytics and robust distribution capabilities into a single solution.

“Bernoulli finds tremendous value in participating with the IHE Connectathon, because we are helping to create an environment where hospitals and health systems can invest in critical medical equipment which will be able to interoperate with other systems,” said Jay McGuire, Bernoulli’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our performance at the IHE Connectathon show our commitment to expanding interoperability capabilities and supporting the industry’s latest standards.”

At the Connectathon, Bernoulli completed 10 testing areas, including device enterprise communication, consistent time, alert communication management and device enterprise communication.  Based on the success at the Connectathon, Bernoulli will also participate in multiple clinical scenarios at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase during the 2016 Annual HIMSS Conference& Exhibition, February 29-March 3, in Las Vegas.

The Connectathon’s testing event remains the corner stone of the entire week uniting health IT companies and government entities to test the interoperability of their systems. This event accelerates the development and deployment of interoperable systems that include IHE Profiles and other world class standards like HL7® FHIR® and Consolidated-CDA®. IHE is expected to publish the results of IHE North American Connectathon Week 2016 within a month.
