KLAS Report Classifies Voalte as a Strategic Solution Provider
KLASReport Classifies Voalte as a Strategic Solution Provider with the Most Robust Interfacing
Ability to go beyond HIPAA compliance and meet strategic goals aredistinguishing factors
SARASOTA, Fla. (Oct.7, 2015) — Voalte, the leader in healthcare communication technology, today announced that it has been classifiedas a strategic solution provider with the most robust interfacing in a report published this month by the respected research firm, KLAS.
According to the KLAS report, “Secure Messaging 2015: First Look At WhoProviders Are Considering and Why,” vendors are either basic orstrategic. They are consideredstrategic if they meet at least three of the four following criteria:
Averageat least .5 interfaces per customer and have KLAS-validated interfaces with at least three different healthcare systems
Offerfunctionality beyond the basics necessary to be classified as a secure messaging solution
Havea healthcare background (e.g., offer other healthcare products, have a healthcare-specific mission)
Providersuse the solution to accomplish more strategic goals.
“KLAS has done a huge service toproviders by completing this comprehensive research,” Voalte founder and CEO Trey Lauderdale said. “Witha fast growing market, providers have a lot of noise to filter through. This report can help them save precious time by knowing who the strategic vendors are and what capabilities to look for.”
Inaddition to being categorized as strategic, the company’s ability to provide the most robust interfacing is another distinguishing factor about Voalte that was highlighted in the report. “Voalte earns market share by leveraging their experience partnering with providers for other clinical offerings to achieve deeper integration per client than any other secure messaging vendor. Voalte customers most often report having nurse call and patient monitoring interfaces, and comparatively few non-Voalte clients report these interfaces.”
The report furtherstates: “In addition to having almost all major interfaces available, Voalte has the broadest interfacing, with a higher-than-average number of interfaces per customer than any other vendor.”
The Voalte solution’s ability to achievedeep integration is evidenced at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where nurses need to receive alarms generated by GE monitors and routed through Connexall middleware to the appropriate nurse.
“Being anopen system, Voalte easily integrates with Connexall, GE monitors, Drager, WestCall and Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager,” said Debbie Harman, MSN, RNC, CBC, clinical manager of neonatal services at Sarasota Memorial. “The NICU nurses trust the monitors, alarms and notifications from their Voalte smartphones to keep them informed of their babies’ vital signs as well as notification that they are needed in Labor & Delivery for a pending delivery. It also allows immediate notification to healthcare providers during STAT situations.”
Voalte wasthe first vendor to introduce healthcare to the dedicated use of smartphones, a fact mentioned in the KLAS report. Commenting on healthcare smartphone adoption, Lauderdale said, “Mobile healthcare communication is entering the next phase oftechnology adoption. We are starting to partner with large, established multi-sitehealth systems that need to deploy an enterprise-grade,secure and all-inclusive healthcare communication platform solution to improve clinical workflow and ultimatelydeliver better patient care at a lower cost.”
